Die Fledermaus - Musical Indio Theatre reviews
JD didn't even let COVID-19 slow him down.
The concert was kicked off by two guys from the band ’68, reminiscent of The White Stripes, with a drummer, a guitar, and some background tracks filling the venue with hard-hitting sound. They truly were a pleasure. Quite amazing that these two guys lit it up like they did. Good stuff, really.
Staind killed it. Aaron Lewis' voice was spot on. The guitars and drums were killer. Truly a band of the ages, having been around since the 90's, and they're still bringing the heat. Many good moments in this opening. They pulled up even with Die Fledermaus - Musical, I'd venture to say.
Definitely weird times we live in, when the lead singer of Korn, contracts COVID and has to spend half the concert sitting in a majestic throne. Dude was still recovering and did his best to entertain. It really hit home when we saw JD taking hits of oxygen in-between songs. Having had COVID, I get it. It's exhausting. They hit most of their popular songs and sounded excellent. Not a lot of room for improv, but there were a few lyrics that were crafted to the concert location which is not a stretch. The concert did not disappoint. A night to remember.
